What do the treatments feel like?
As the name implies, the CoolGlide handpiece cools and soothes
as it glides along your skin. When the pulse of light is delivered,
some patients experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation.
No local anesthesia or paid medication is typically required.
How many treatments do I need?
Most areas require 3-6 treatments, but the number of CoolGlide
treatments you may require for optimal long-term benefits
depends on various factors such as your hair’s thickness,
the area treated, and your hair’s growth cycle.
What happens after the treatment?
Immediately following your treatment, the area may appear
a bit red a swollen. Around 3-7 days after treatment, you
may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Actually,
most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment,
and are not regrowing. In between treatments you should not
wax or pluck your hair, but shaving is acceptable.
How long do the results last?
The CoolGlide system causes permanent reduction in the number
of hairs growing in an area. Because hair grows in three phases,
and each hair goes through these stages independently, it
is almost impossible for one laser treatment to permanently
reduce all hair in a given area. Clinic studies, which have
followed patients for one year after completing two treatments,
have shown that reduction in hair growth was stable for the
duration of that time. While individual results may vary,
patients typically find that it takes 3-6 treatments to get
the desired results.
What areas can be treated?
CoolGlide can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the
body. It can even treat sensitive areas like the face and
behind the knees.

blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying
the vessels. CoolGlide treats the targeted vessels, leaving
the surrounding tissue intact. Treatments usually take several
minutes, depending on the number of vessels treated and their
location. Most patients experience a stinging sensation as
the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece.
How many treatments will I need?
Often, patients find that one treatment is sufficient for
their vein removal needs. However, for optimal results, multiple
treatments may be necessary. The number of treatments necessary
depends on the number of vessels being treated, and the color
and size of those vessels.
How long do the results last?
Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins
have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks
of treatment. However, your final results may not be apparent
for several months. Over time, it is possible for new veins
to appear, but these too can be removed with the CoolGlide
laser.
Which wrinkles can be treated?
The CoolGlide system works on the fine lines and wrinkles
around lips, mouth, nose and eyes. This laser technology works
best on fine lines and helps to combat the early stages of
skin aging.
How does it work?
The laser works beneath the level of the skin to rearrange
and tighten deeper layers. This rearrangement of the deeper
layers helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
How many treatments will I need?
A series of 4 to 6 "no-down-time" treatments can
be scheduled at your convenience. These treatments take approximately
30 minutes and cause only slight reddening of the skin, which
disappears quickly. You can immediately return to your normal
daily activities after this laser treatment.
